I think the game is very nice, and what is going to happen is very well telegraphed to the player. One thing that I feel would make the game feel nicer is reducing down the color pallet, pixel art really shines when it comes to limited colors

Treat it as something to maybe look into if you plan to develop the game after jam, I'm sure you did your best, and that you can do even more in the future ^^

It's a very simple and charming game, feels like it was made with care, and slow introduction of mechanics is very well done. One thing that I think you should look into is that, if you press left mouse (ha ha) button then trap, if you have one selected already it causes it to become unusable and appear out of bounds. My preference, but adding an option to lower or mute the volume of music & sound effects would be welcome.
Anyway, taking into consideration the limitations of the jam,
I think you should be very proud of your work
 

I realy like this game, this music is a very nice fit, and I'm in love with very simple, but memorable designs and movment of each character ^^
